TCO’s All That! Cloggers were featured halftime entertainment during Sunday’s Carolina Panther’s Game

The much-publicized and very popular All That! clogging group, who appear nightly at The Carolina Opry at The Calvin Gilmore Theater in Myrtle Beach, SC, were the requested entertainment for this week’s half-time entertainment at Sunday’s Carolina Panther’s vs. Seattle Seahawks football game. The group donned official Carolina Panthers jerseys with their name on the back as they took the stage on the 50 yard line and performed several numbers, some a cappella and one rousing number with the Carolina TopCats Cheerleaders.

In a competitive tourism market, it is always great to have Myrtle Beach showcased in such a highly-publicized national forum. It’s not the first time that Gilmore Entertainment has brought national eyes to our market. In 1994 they brought the first network programming to the beach with Country Music Spotlight through their affiliation with the Family Channel Television Network. In 2008 they performed the national anthem for the third Republican Presidential debate here in Myrtle Beach. And in 1992 Calvin Gilmore was featured on the front page of the entertainment section of USA Today for his achievements in the Carolinas.

Gilmore, founder and owner of Gilmore Entertainment, attended the Panthers game on Sunday along with Gilmore Entertainment president David Olive. Gilmore said “We love being a recognized entity in the Carolinas. They have been good to us and we love to give back, All That! is spectacular. We look forward to the new show that we have in development with them—so watch for it! They looked great up there on the Jumbotron.”

Over the past 10 years All That! have become a phenomenon amongst visitors in Gilmore’s award-winning productions, The Carolina Opry, Good Vibrations, and Gilmore’s newest production, Thunder and Light. Known nationally for their recent success on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, All That! has gathered a fanatical following. Gilmore commented, “The popularity of All That! has just been through the roof.”

Calvin Gilmore and cast are available for interviews.

28th season of landmark variety show to add two new powerhouse vocalists to legendary cast line-up, new seating for 2014, and a new show time

North Carolina-based singer/songwriter Bibis Ellison will join the cast of The Carolina Opry and Good Vibrations. Likened to artists such as Adele, Bibis is known for her soulful tones and has performed both covers and original music all over the US, as well as in Japan and Mexico. Owner, producer and performer Calvin Gilmore states, “Bibis is the high level of talent our fans have come to expect here at Calvin Gilmore Theater.”

Colton Cason made his debut at The Calvin Gilmore Theater in their recent Christmas production and has agreed to join the cast for the 2014 season. Colton’s smooth crooner style, inspired by Sinatra and Bublé, adds an element of jazz—and he also plays a mean trumpet.  A member of the prestigious Del Couch music foundation, Colton is seasoned in orchestral feature performance and has already become a favorite at The Calvin Gilmore Theater.

These are just two among the many changes in store for the 2014 season. All That, renowned hip-hop cloggers seen on NBC’s America’s Got Talent will be back with new moves. Emcee and Nashville recording artist Brad Long will return along with the rest of the legendary cast of 35 singers, musicians and dancers.

Also among the changes for 2014 is all new seating in The Calvin Gilmore Theater auditorium. Gilmore is replacing all floor seating with plush, wide new seats decked out with rocking backs and cup holders. He says, “After nearly 30 years in this business I get a little sentimental about these original theater seats, but I can’t wait until you sit in the new ones.” A limited quantity of the original theater seats may be available for purchase as collectors’ items.

Colton and Bibis can be seen in all of The Calvin Gilmore Theater productions. Shows run nightly at the new show time of 7:00 pm beginning January 29 at The Calvin Gilmore Theater, closed Sundays. Call for full schedule and to book, 800-843-6779.

LaToya London of American Idol to Join Carolina Opry Cast
LaToya London, American Idol Finalist, to join the cast of The Carolina Opry and Good Vibrations. Featured in this season’s American Idol show as one of “The Three Divas,” LaToya was grouped with the likes of Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson and R&B powerhouse Fantasia Barrino. LaToya will add a dynamic element to the stage of The Calvin Gilmore Theater for the summer season 2013.
An American Idol finalist and a multiple award winner, London’s undeniable presence and amazing vocals managed to silence the razor-sharp tongue of American Idol’s most infamous judge, Simon Cowell. Following American Idol, London signed with Peak records to release her debut album, Love and Life, which landed in the Billboard top 100 and spawned three successful singles, including the 40 hit, State of My Heart. After touring the talk show circuit on shows such as Letterman and Ellen DeGeneres, London entered the world of live theater in the Oprah Winfrey tour of The Color Purple with fellow Idol and close friend Fantasia Barrino. London later joined the Los Angeles production and was awarded the 2013 Ovation Award for “Best Featured Actress in a Musical.”
London will perform with the award-winning cast of both The Carolina Opry and Good Vibrations June 3 through September 7, 2013. Shows nightly at 7:30 pm at The Calvin Gilmore Theater, closed Sundays. Call for full schedule and to book, 800-843-6779 or visit TheCarolinaOpry.com
